Terms of Use
Using Frame 37 means agreeing to what's below. It is short on purpose.
01The service
Frame 37 is an app that lets you shoot a limited roll of frames without a preview, sends the roll to our darkroom for automatic processing, and returns the developed photos to you after a delay. The delay, the frame limit and the absence of a preview are deliberate features, not faults.
These terms are between you and Evgenii Isupov, the individual who operates Frame 37. They are governed by the laws of Portugal, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
02Your account
You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to use Frame 37. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Guest accounts live on one device — if you lose the device without linking an email, the account and its rolls are unrecoverable.
03Your photos are yours
You own your photos. You grant us only the narrow licence we need to run the service: to store, process and render your frames so we can develop and return them to you. That licence ends when the content is deleted. We claim no right to publish, market with, or train models on your photos.
You promise your photos are lawful — nothing that is illegal to create or possess, and nothing that infringes someone else's rights. We may suspend an account that we reasonably believe is being used for illegal content or to attack the service.
04Rolls, developing and collecting
A roll must be finished (or rewound) before it develops, and it unlocks only after its timer ends. When you collect a developed roll, it downloads to your device and is deleted from our servers — your device then holds the only copy. Back it up yourself. We cannot restore a collected roll, and we are not your archive.
05Free films, subscriptions and payment
Some films are free; others need a paid plan. Quota is counted when a roll is sent to develop, not when it is created. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions are sold through the App Store, renew automatically, and are billed to your Apple ID. Manage or cancel in your Apple account settings — cancelling stops the next renewal and does not refund the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, not by us; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly. If you live in the EU/UK you may also have a statutory withdrawal right; contact us and we will help you exercise it.
06Availability
We aim to keep the darkroom running, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, pause or retire features and film stocks — limited films leave the fridge permanently by design. If we ever shut the service down, we will give reasonable notice so you can collect your rolls.
07Liability
The service is provided “as is”, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of photos you did not back up after collecting them. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited — and your mandatory consumer rights are unaffected.
08Ending things
You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app; see the Privacy Policy for what erasure does. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will give notice unless the law or a serious risk prevents it.
09Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect; continuing to use Frame 37 afterwards means you accept them.
